Cavs/Noles: ACC Championship is Worth the Price of Admission

A clash of two titans happens this weekend for the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship in what promises to be one of the best games of the weekend. #3 Virginia and defending Heisman Trophy winner Daniel Kelso bring their explosive passing game into the championship this week to take on a dominant Florida State team that's looking to correct last year's wrongs.

Florida State has done everything in their power to put themselves into this position. Fueled by last year's disappointing end of the year that ended in a slew of penalties for Florida State and an early exit, the Noles are back and more focused than ever. As always, they'll bring one of the best running games into the weekend, ranking #2 overall in rushing with 243 yards per game.

This year not only has Samuel Odom been incredible, but so has Freshman Gilbert Saavedra who has 1000 yards on the year. The depth of this Florida State running back room has always been one of the strengths of the program and they will likely rely on that to both get them down the field and keep Virginia's offense off of it.

For Virginia the game plan seems to be what it is every week – throw Southard the ball and watch him ball out. Daniel Kelso and his number one target Eric Southard have put up strong numbers while having opponents know what is coming at them. It doesn't matter, nobody has been able to stop it. Ranking 41st in rushing and 2nd in Passing, this Virginia offense is very heavily reliant on the arm of Daniel Kelso and the hands of Eric Southard but the duo are so good that teams still have no strategy on how to stop it.

Florida State hopes they will have the answers that nobody else has this season. Virginia is an incredibly high-powered team who deserves to be here in this game – as does Florida State. One winner will come out of this with a ton of momentum.
