After a mid-season drought with 4 losses in a row the UCF Knights finished the regular season with 4 wins in a row after they beat the Pitt Panthers 36 -24 and have now a .500 record awaiting the bowl season. No more games in the regular season with byes in week 14 - 16. Another recruit with 3 WR William Whipple brings the total to 7 commits as of this week. The Knights led at halftime 19 - 10 and the Panthers made the game interesting when Pitt QB threw a bomb to WR William Pearson for a 85-yard TD pass which made the score 26 - 24 in favor of the Knights. The Knights took care of business when they score 10 unanswered points in the 4th quarter to end the game with the final score 36 - 24. Overall the box score showed at the end of the game almost 500 total yards for the Knights compared to 348 for the Panthers. Defense is where the Knights need to improve to become a better team next season.
